Command Palette

The command palette is a powerful shortcut tool in Glue that helps you do more with fewer clicks. It lets you jump anywhere and trigger actions using just your keyboard.

It’s designed to grow as Glue adds more features—so you’ll see more commands available over time.

What It Is

Press:

• macOS: ⌘ + K
• Windows / Linux: Ctrl + K

This opens a searchable menu where you can type what you want to do—whether that’s navigating, starting a thread, or managing content.

Quick Actions You Can Do Today

Here are some examples of what you can accomplish with the command palette:

Navigation

• Jump to any group, channel, direct message, or thread
• Go directly to Settings, Search, or other app areas

Thread Actions

• Start a new thread
• Rename or archive an existing thread
• Pin or unpin a thread
• Follow/unfollow threads

Conversations

• Switch between recent conversations
• Open a specific thread or DM instantly

Recent Items

• See your recently used threads and pick one quickly

How It Works

• Type to filter: As you type, results update in real time.
• Arrow keys: Use ↑ / ↓ to navigate the list.
• Enter: Select your command.
• Autocomplete: Common targets and actions appear first.

Glue will expand command coverage over time to include:

• Group & workspace management
• Admin actions (when permitted)
• Integration-triggered commands (e.g., /calendar, /zoom)
• Personalized suggestions based on usage
