Customizable Notifications

• Glue allows you to control which conversations you want to be notified about in your Threads Inbox.
• Decide whether to follow every thread in a group or only Important ones.

📌 A thread is considered Important (to show up in your Threads Inbox) when:

• You are @mentioned.
• You reply to the thread.
• You choose to follow the thread.

{% hint style="info" %} When joining a new group, the default is to follow Important threads only for that group. You can change this setting to follow every thread at any time. {% endhint %}

Managing Group notification settings

• Click the 🔔 icon at the top right of the group header to adjust your notification settings for that group.
• To follow all threads from a group, change your setting to Everything in your Inbox. This setting is typically used for groups you are very active in.
• Note: You cannot change the notification settings for your company’s General group

{% hint style="info" %} If you follow only Important threads from a Group, you will still see all new threads in your Feed and Activity tab, and in the Group view. You just won't follow all threads in your Thread Inbox. {% endhint %}

Managing notifications for individual Threads in a Group

• Following a thread means it will appear in your Inbox and notify you of new messages.
• You can override your group settings by following or unfollowing individual thread notifications.
  • Click the bell 🔔 icon on an open thread, or from your Inbox when you hover over the thread name to Follow or Unfollow
