### How to set a status

1. Click on your profile picture in the upper right hand corner

2. Choose "set a status"

3. Pick from one of our presets or customize your own status with:

- Emoji
   - Status name
   - Duration ("Remove status after")

### Editing or Removing Your Status

Your status will automatically clear when the time you set expires. If you want to change or remove it sooner:

**To remove your status manually:**

1. Click your profile picture.

2. Hover over your current status.

3. When the **X** icon appears, click it to clear your status.

4. You can also click on your status to open the status modal, and click **Clear status**.

**To edit your status:**

1. Click your profile picture.

2. Click your status to open the status modal.

3. Update your text, emoji, or duration—or clear it from the modal.
